i worked on and off on this wall for about 4 days ^_^' but i feel it was very worth it =P i think the idea for this wall was because of rei's expression and i built the wall around that. the mountain behind is none other than MT Fuji! yah! its from a scan and i edited it to look like the part of the picture. i did a layered fog effect so some grass is clearer than other bits. the shrine was taken from a photograph and it really adds this spiritual stuff to it. lol well i give credits to shinn giving some tip about the rain effect cause i didnt know what i was doing XD i also thank my cuz chi-bo for being a great critic who is so brutally honest. well i hope you all enjoy this work cause i certainly do XD

comments, advice and, of course, favs (eheh) are appreciated!

I really love this wallpaper, Kai.

This is definitely your best piece of work by far, and it definitely deserves more favs. over here - that's for sure.

    What makes me think so?

First of all, the wallpaper background itself is definitely the key highlight over this entire picture. The background looks very realistic. I love the way you used the rain effects, and the weathered-down motion of the grass along with it as well.

The atmosphere - genuine. The mountain - nearly flawless.

The shrine seems to be pretty much in decent shape alright. It's not absolutely the best, but what makes it so remarkable is that everything fits very well in altogether, as if though it was a perfect fit to the puzzle. Even the scan blends and matches with the theme over here.

The most fascinating part? It looks as if everything was virtually hand-drawn, in my perspective. I could not even believe there was a hint of fog that snuck into the wallpaper like that, but for it to blend om that well - is absolutely stunning. The font is normal of course, and it does not stand out in the way of the wallpaper over here. Absolutely wonderful job, Kai. I would recommend a lot more people to look at this wallpaper, of course, because it simply is almost a complete and wonderful masterpiece, nonetheless. Almost - nearly that close. Good going! I am very impressed, nonetheless.

The concept of this wallpaper is great. Everything seems to fall into place with the background and the scan. However, if the light source is in the background, then you might want to create a reflection of grass in the water. Keep up the great work.

Interesting! Not a background that I would have imagined for Rei. Not a background that you usually see with Rei I think, but it looks really nice! Awesome job!

I love this one. MT Fuji blends in very well. She looks as if the rain is a bit on the cold side. Thanks for posting.

I love this image of Rei so much... And you did a great work with it, no doubt. Excellent idea, using rain and a japanese scenary...
However, I'd choose another font. ;)
    Thank you for sharing!
