I liked it, it's simple, but it's ok, I think it gave a very good sensation because of the "silence" atmosfere it passes....

like shadow dude said, simple walls are hard to be good, but I think you did it ok!

This i think is one of the simplistic walls that i ever seen,but also the whole wall take your breath away,i dont have anything to say...just... kill me softly in the Battle Royale...respect to the Grunge God

dark eeriness. like the style a lot -- bit empty but thats not always a disruptive trait.

good idea! normally there is an interrupted feeling by not filling a blank space, but by making alll the space blank, you give it a desotale feeling, like it belongs there, very nice. great job man

I saw both walls and also think that they are simple. That doesn't mean they are bad though. The other NANA wall looked like something that you would find on a t-shirt. This NANA wall looks almost film noir. It's very chic! Even the blurriness of the scan doesn't really bother me. I really like them both for different reasons.

i do have a suggestion though. Since the wall (image wise) is simple, why not do something more different with the text. This is a good opportunity to use some walling techniques on type. People often forget that "type" is an element itself in your wall and can be just as important. I don't mean for you to go crazy design on the text but try using some of the techniques you know on the type to enhance the mood. You'll be surprised how big of an effect it may have. Great stuff though!

i think crapmonster consistently releases the most "artistic" wallpapers on MT. your intuition for character placement, perspective, lines, lighting and color control are really special and shines through in all your works (not to mention the only guy who puts his name in the middle). i really loved your metal gear solid wall, among others, and this one certainly doesn't disappoint. amazing job with a simplistic theme.

....you wont believe how much yur name cracks me up...crapmonster!!!(laughs for another 5 min... ) ok...really tho, i luv this one!....simplicity is a neat factor....i wish i was good @ art...so i could kno how 2 use speshal werdz like: "perspective" and such.... n e wayz i can really connect with the feeling of lonliness. heh, i luv dat title "Nana" its what my mom used to call my nose when i was little! (pushes "fav'rite" button)

I like it because it's absolutely essential. Nice font, but maybe I'd not have used that line in the center of the composition, I'd have make it start from the boot and make it a little longer. Silly thing anyway, just a matter of personal taste. Your work's great ^^
