This wallie wasn't planned out at all. I had no idea what I was gonna do with the scan, lol. So I winged it (no pun intended durhurhur :B).
Anyway, I took this scan and vectored it... which is super simple to do. Then I found a picture of a wing and and attached to the character's back. After that, I filled the newly winged figure with a mixture of several stock photos (from here) faded on top of each other and many filters. End result looks pretty rad in my opinion.
For the background, I kinda re-used bits and pieces of a previous background I made, and added some lines and stuff. I decided to keep the bg monotone to draw the eye to the character.
I called it "Caged Freedom" because as you can see from the little window thingie, BIRD-MAN is stuck inside while the crow gets try freely fly around all day. So yeah... obviousness at its finest. .___.
Enjoy, Minna~

I like the concept: You kept it simple, not overcrowded - the boy looks very expressive. The eyes and the cherry took most of my attention at first and after some time I started to notice other things. I simply adore the textures on the boy and I noticed which bg are the bits recycled from
. I'm
not entirely sure about the crowd. I mean I understand the concept and it's a
good one, but something is bothering me there. Other than that a really nice
wall
Yay! A quality CHALK Karasu wallpaper!
I like the way you've purposefully kept it very sparse. The vector is strong and detailed, but isn't over-crowded with details, and the slight touches of light textures keep it from being too gloomy, while retaining that haunting pose. Nice work!
wow this is a great quality wallpaper.and its very creative.ok i like your idea there
Hey,this is really interesting desing,i like these wings, they're so mysterious.I feel from this wallpaper forceful depression, but so i like it ^^,really very original art.
Nice work. I like the use of texture on the character, and the color contrast between his clothes/wings and his eyes/the cherry.
I'm not sure how I like the background though, it's pobably the cold/bold colors and the stripes in the upper right corner bothering me, because I often prefer warmer colours and I think they'd go better with the vector.
Personal preferences aside great wall.
It came out very creative, abstract and attractive. I like the concept, this is one of the nicest pop-art pieces I've seen around. ^^
this piece my friend is another good progress.Totally awesome!
I like the idea behind this wall. Great vector and I love the color scheme.
From the thumbnail, I originally thought it was a bird with a human head...but then I read and full-viewed that it was a wing on his back.
You're
right the wing does look rad. The overall outcome of blending all the textures
is really great. I think the vector goes great with the simple background too.
Keep up the good work!
