Tieria Erde & his Gundam Virtue.
At first, I swore Tieria was a girl, until he started talking. O_o He's my favorite character because of his looks, but his personality certainly doesn't win any awards. I find that Wufei from Gundam Wing has more personality then Tieria does.
One thing about Tieria that kinda makes me wonder. Being near-sighted myself and having to wear glasses.. I'm pretty blind without them. It's apparent Tieria doesn't wear his glasses when piloting Virtue. I don't know about anyone else, but would you really trust a guy who wears glasses to go out and blow stuff up without those glasses?

I think he wears contact lenses while piloting a Gundam. Even with a female looking, Tieria is the coldest Gundam Meister with a dark past and he my most favorite character in Gundam 00, hope he won't become the final boss or die!

Maybe he's near-sighted but it's not serve. I used to be a near-sighted myself and just like you, I couldn't see anything without glass. BTW, Tieria actually doesn't look much like a gal with his glass off.
And he's also my most favourite character ^^
about the glasses thingy i also wonder, but i think he just switch to contact lenses when piloting a gundam..haha

Maybe the visor of his helmet has a prescription? I don't know. If Tieria is suddenly revealed as a girl somewhere in the series, I swear I won't be surprised.
Tieria is a total psycho. Something about the glasses adds to his overall creepyness.
Great scan btw. I'd never want to be on his? team.
I was thinking that maybe he has a "Dilandau" complex.
But
after the past episode I saw (Ep 11), I'm wondering if he isn't some sort of
cyborg or something.
Tieria is quite a misterious character I just wish they hadn't made him so annoying, and I was certain he was a girl at first too, his voice is the only manly thing he's got, thanks for the scan
