Commission for a gal on Gaiaonline. Took me six months on this one... But, after watching Finding Nemo many times (and enduring complaints from my siblings for having to watch it so many times), I think it was worth it. Sure, it's not perfect, but t'is definitely satisfactory, especially since I learned some good things from this pic. (Like those rays; they're done with a colorless blender. I just dragged it through the color and voila. And the school of fish were done with another marker type, which turned out to be a very good thing. They'd have been washed out if I hadn't used a different type. )
And before anyone asks, no, I've no idea why her eyes are covered. The
commissioner wanted her to be blindfolded, so that's how I drew it. 
Alas that it should look better IRL than the scan does... Ah, well. Let me know what y'all think!

esp love her tail, how the colouring makes it look iridescent. And the
underwater lighting is pretty as well (cool idea to use the colourless blender,
I think I'll try that some time ^^).

Beautiful piece windyroller! (Great to see a new piece from you too!) Love the composition. It's crowded without being overcrowded. I envy your marker abilities-- the different shades you are able to achieve as well as the blending of the colors to create the sunrays (and the fin, as Maple already commented on). Great job on this one... keep it up!

It's always worth the time if you learn something new! Humm finding Nemo ay? :P Ever seen Shark Tail? Now that's a good source of inspiration. ANyway, back to the drawing. I like how it's large and a full page. There's nothing worse than bad composition :O Excellent stuff!

Not perfect my bum.If it took you six months to finish on top of watching Finding Nemo many many times,it must have been that epic and endearing to have taken so long.The background looks extremely good,it's almost as if you took part of the ocean and dropped it onto the paper
