All in a moment's randomness...and here i am, rediscovering my long lost MT account. x__x i don't know why i've chosen this particular time when i should be working on my english paper, but i'm following my spontaneous whim. and so, to start actually being active here, i thought: why not submit a wallpaper? i don't have anything great and new, so i just pulled out a really old one. xD;; (some people might recognize it.)
if you know death note and if you understand the idea that if there is one bruised (thus "bad") apple put together with other good apples, you end up with a whole bunch of rotten apples, then you should comprehend the wall just fine. the vectored Light + apple came from this scan because i thought it was a perfect fit for my idea. Higuchi and Misa were vectored from screenshots of the anime while Mikami came from a manga scan. text was pure pen tool fiddle; some will like it and i'm sure others won't at all. the splatter was drawn with the regular old round brush.
there aren't an exceptional number of layers, as you can probably surmise. and i don't quite remember how long making this wall took. but all in all, it suits my love for simple stuff. wonder if this will get accepted, lol.

This wall is very well executed, the vector is neat and the way you implemented the others faces looks great. I also can't believe you've drawn that text with pen tool, I could never do that (<-font leecher).
There's nothing wrong with simplistic stuff, I enjoy minimalstic walls the most as well. *favs*
