Chibi Rei's cute but I wanna know how to get some grass infront of her to make it seem like she's sitting in it.

magic

nah theres about 5 layers of grass in there, plus some focal length imitation

the front layer has the heavily blurred grass
next has some slightly smaller, less blurred grass
the middle layer has the grass she is sitting in, no blur
---rei goes here---
the layer behind has the same size grass as the one infront of her but slightly blurred
and the last layer has the background grass heavily blurred.

i drew the grass using the default grass brush in photohop with some brush dynamics and did it along curved paths
