Busy as ever D:
I'm applying for colleges soon, and I need to build an art portfolio D: I'm pretty sure they don't want to see all anime drawings, so I decided to do a realistic drawing. Whether or not I'll actually put it in my portfolio, I don't know. Maybe I'll do more and then choose my favorites.
Anyway, so now that you know why it's different from my norms, I'll talk about
the sketch itself 
The sketch features Takuya from An cafe. He's my favorite band
member from An cafe D: I had a hard time drawing the eyes and nose...I'm not
used to drawing realistically so it kind of sucks

im presenting my portafolio tomorrow (weird uh?),and haha i also had to think in not include too much anime related stuff so yeah life is hard and people often goes for realistic crap

It's not bad. The eyes came out really nice. Face in general, really.
I think... You should define the hair more. It's too smudgy. Probably use thinner strokes over what you have now. Maybe some stray dark and light strokes?
I still think you did a great job, though. ^^
Uhm... can you put vector drawings in the portfolio? Because I think you'll make a strong impression then. ^_^ Good luck with college apps!
Ah... I have to start college searching. Know any good music colleges? that *aren't* conservatories...? bah. oops, getting off topic.
to be honest, this drawing is okay, but the collenge wouldn't be too impress with it, but if you submit your original vector art, it would be nice, just put in the portfolio whatever you feel most comfortable with and i can see your strong point is vector art.
I already have one art college in mind, it doesn't require portfolio but you have to do a project instead, well, maybe i'll just do both since i still have one more year till i'm graduate
good luck with your portfolio, i'm sure you can get into the college you want since you're so talented

Though you mention this art feature Takuya, but i really feel that this character look like Boa with short hair. Sorry, cos i dont know Takuya. Very nice nice hair.
