I really like the art from this anime (never watched it though), so I decided to
make a wallpaper with one of the characters. At first I wanted a male one, but I
couldn't find it, so I decided on the red head girl. I repainted the sky with
darker colors, since I wanted a late sunset background and did the same on the
girl. I used the smudge tool on the rebel hair and sword.
I'm not satisfied with the 'flames' 
That's
what they're supposed to be, but they look more like flower pollen. Whatever,
they were needed there for the wallpaper to look complete.
I used pretty dark colors on her hair, because I hate it when the pallet is so
bright, you can barely look at it.

sure you can improve in making pollens eerr.... i mean flames! 
and oh yeah! it would be best if you made your wall a little bie sharp becoz
the whole wallie is a little blurry but iguess you made that intentionally but
anyways nice job!

though as for the flames err..i mean pollens? well they are more look like pollens or something but nice try

I think this is a fantastic wallpaper! I'm a big fan of Shana and am waiting for the next DVD to get to NZ. I like how she's pointing at out at you.

I like the soft colours in this one a lot. The colours of the other Shana-Walls often are to strong for my taste. You also used great effects

The sky looks pretty nice and fits well the scan, as for the flames... try to use than in a white color, then make a selection of their shape and in a different layer use the gradient tool with flame colors like red, yellow and orange, than used that layer in soft light or a different blend, duplicate it for some more results... maybe this way the pollen will looks like flame =x
