That was a challenging picture. I used up a lot of paper but in the end the image turned out satisfying so it was worth the effort. I want to do more works with strong contrasts and alternative colors in the future. The setting was inspired by the roof of the Casa Mila in Barcelona (I've never been there).

See the making-of.

wow XD nice doujin that you made desu~ XD

epic

quite the good image, though I'm not quite sure I agree with the actual fight :P the spear wielder is being rather silly getting in that close to the swordsman. other than my little nitpicking, it is a pretty good image.

who thought you'd be on MT still ^^

epic mode on

MTF!

This is really great Paul!

REALLY!

I liked the colors you used, you told you would work more often in that contrast, and it works perfectly!
The only strange thing, for me, of course, is the clouds and he sky... I dunno... I mean... I know it gives the tittle to the whole piece, but I think that with the skils you have, you could have done it in someway different and made it even better! but that's just my opinion!

Really, congrats about this piece, it's fantastic!

Oh yeah that perspective looks tricky to get, and the result is awesome. Epic indeed, and as usual the casual clothes help a lot.

quite an interesting piece from you my friend

the angle is very exciting

The thumb would make me think of a One Piece fight somehow. But then, it's definitely your drawing style ;). You've created the perfect mood for this piece, with great angles and stances, and that vortex-like sky. Really good coloring as well, and your perpective is awesome.

Thumbs up and fav :D

PS i don't know about the katana though, the handle is 'square-ish' which would be hard to... handle !
