I haven't come across a picture I really wanted to wall lately but this picture had some kind of magic to it. Actually I really like all the drawings from Rain I've seen lately, this one stood out somehow (at least for me).
I'm quite pleased with the vector especially the shading on her face. The color of her clothing was changed as well as the color of the hands (I thought they looked a little to human xD). Of course I went nuts with textures and patterns again, but otherwise everything was kept simple as always.
The wallpaper took me about two days to finish, the vectoring took most of the time. All patterns and textures where taken from Hybrid-Genesis.net the scan was found at the Aethereality Gallery.

Hope you enjoy.

and you need not rush yourself really, because this wallpaper has the essence of a good work done, excellent style as always and definitely something I haven't seen in a while. Quality!

I love this wallpaper... come to think of it, simplistic wallpapers are most times the one I am enjoying more. Interesting choice of colors... different from what you usally find here on mt... excellent use of patterns... Well and the whole composition... so what more to say... I'll rather add it to my favs. :)

*new desktop* and happy about it! XD

Such a pretty yet haunting image. The simplistic treatement of the image adds to the grace of Rain's artwork, and I like your muted & earthy colours. So glad you found something you felt like walling, because this is beautiful.

Hauting is right...
I love the sakure tree in the back. :)

wow..Nice :o and i <3 the simplity of the wall XD

Very cool. I love the simple, natural background. The light, almost ghostly blue-green circle surrounding the character looks great and frames the character beautifully. The tree branch is neat, and I love the colors of the scan, especially the white hair. The greenish hands are also beautifully colored. The textures of the clothing and the tree branch add a lot of depth to the image. Another excellent, simple wallpaper. I love it.

Really nice work, such a great use of the scan. Textures are quite good as well, and the whole composition gives off an intense yet somewhat soothing feeling.
One thing though, i think her wrist jewels stand out a bit too much (in terms of coloring, the color you used is flashier !).

But thumbs up anyway :D

This is a gorgeous wall Erdbeer-chan ^_^. I love the composition, and the vectoring is wonderful. Very strong piece indeed.

I do have a couple of suggestions though :P. I think it might be a smoother piece if you did not tile the background texture but used a continuous piece (so that would be a pretty easy change). The other suggestion would be to not have the figure terminate at the garment on the bottom. It does look a bit creepy ^_^', but then maybe that was your intention.

Thank you very much for sharing this with us :D.

A little bit morbid, but enticing at the same time. Great composition and the colours are definitely fitting as the greenness could be associated with mould, decomposition, lack of life etc. Plus - simplicity rulez!

I've been thinking aobut commenting on this for a while now XD I remember seeing this a while back, and can't believe I haven't done anything to praise you until now ^_^' It's a job well done ^^ It's delicate yet frightning at the same time. Nice work :D A definite fave for me.
