Finally I managed to finish my wallpaper for the UA zodiac theme. I chose the zodiac "Gemini"... so I was looking for a scan that could be used on that topic and ended up with this scan by Nahoo Lee that I found in DREAM's gallery.
I didn't really like the colors of the original scan too much... and I felt like
doing something with a red color scheme... I also changed some things in the
original drawing...
Next step was to give these interesting characters a fitting background... from
the moment I saw them I was thinking of a graveyard. I had another version of
the wall with more grass... but in my point of view it would have distracted
from the characters. So I got rid of all the grass expect the one in the front
line. Added some yellow fog to increase the contrast...
What I wanted to achieve was the atmosphere of an old graveyard in the woods...
and these two with their pale faces walking away from it...
My interpretation of Gemini... *lol*

nice vivid colors, that in some way are helping to the whole graveyard feeling.
the scan was already cool, you managed to make it fit your idea nicely, at the end I love it, not just for how is everything set and how great it looks, but also becasuse it gives me the idea that both of them are living a halloween time.

:bows: i doubt i have seen such an original and dark interpretation of Gemini as this. as lady alterlier mentioned i am totally blown away by how you took Nahoo Lee's incredible art and made it totally unique. also i am super-impressed you didn't rely on the color black here; personally i would have made a darker bg. i am jealous & marveling at your technical & artistic prowess. ^^
incredible job on "cleaning" up the scan and the graveyard looks great.
i only have one minor crit: the gravestone itself i would have tilted a little closer to the center. not dead center but slightly pulling to the left.
Lady Regenbogen- did you know in ancient Egypt the astrological concept Gemini was potrayed by twin animals not humans?

I like the sketchy feels of the wall, especially their hair and the trees. Nice colour scheme, and nice simple atmosphere too. But I feel that those grasses look unsuitable with just in the front part. I was hoping they cover some parts of the background too.
