Where do I start....God knows...
Well when I saw the scan I knew I had to do something with it. It's pretty obvious how awesome it is. So I decided to take on the challenge of vectoring Haruhi. And it really was a challenge for me. I'm still new to vectoring, but I was determined to pull it off. Now I'm just incredibly glad it's finally finished. ^_^
This pic was pretty hard to vector...there are so many dark places (the skirt, the hair...), plus the scan I used had text on it. (The textless version, which you can find here, was too small for me). And there are a lot of little details. But I tried my best.
Time:
Outline- 14 hrs 10 mins
Colouring- 6 hrs 30 mins
Total- 20 hrs 40 mins (God, I'm tired...x_x)
Layers: 60
When I was done I added a little bit of texture to her leggings and the frills on the side of the skirt, to give them a more mesh-y look. The frills are semi-transparent. I noticed the leggings weren't the same colour all the way down in the scan, so I created a similar effect in the vector. I almost didn't add the diamond-shaped necklace, but I decided to include it, it's just a bit different than the original. And I added a little design to it.
You're probably thinking the shape of the skirt looks weird ^_^. Well I just looked at the scan and tried to see how the skirt was...it looked kinda sideways and it seemed to trail down so that's what I did. I can always change it if I come up with something better.
Wow, I'm certainly babbling a lot. I'll wrap it up. I really hope you like my vector because I worked super hard on it! I know it's not perfect but it's a personal best for me! Please comment, and if you use this vector in a wall please credit me! Also please show it to me, I'd love to see it. I think a lot of great walls could be made with this pic ^_^.
