Where to start? Hmm, well, this is my first submission of 2007 here. Basically instead of looking for a great scan to wall .. I decided to look through my very large collection of images. I came across what looks like a nice artistic art, I don't remember what the artist who did this. I got it sometime last year, here is the original >> [clickclack].
It wasn't too large to begin with, so what I did was boot up illustrator and started vectoring it, coloured in photoshop, and finished the rest of the wall from scratch in there. I did take the idea of the flower and leaves in the back from the original, I used another reference stock though as a template to brush it in manually.
There's quite a few colours going on, originally it was bright blue in the back. But it was too bright and kinda dull, added some texture in with overlapping brushes and a few filters in the back. Hope yah guys like it, thanks for looking at my work!

You did great xD, the leaves look just right now to fit in with the rest of the painted feeling you gave the rest of it. I like how it's got this luminescent kinda feeling to it all.
This is a sharp contrast to your past works; the texture, I mean.
Normally you use images with the typical heavy colours, but this one's very soft.... must be the paint. ^^
You did a good vector; a little too good, in fact, I can see the difference with the orignal and the added stuff. :P
This is really beautiful and love the calm-like atmosphere you got going on in this wallpaper of yours.
Your
vector is quite impressive. 
I am
wondering if it would be interesting if the PhotoShop could get that same
coloring textures and lighting as the original artwork. Nah, I think I like it
the way it is. It's perfect, but I would like to see the little blue-whites
light thingies in your wallie. 
(Don't listen to that suggestion, I am being a R-tard right now.

To tell you the truth, i was mesmerized by the eyes than the entire picture all over. HAha!

the vector/color/manipulation work is awesome, as firemace I have to say that the eyes are the most attractive and main thing here...love them, the background, so clean, with such a calming and relaxing colors reclaim this as a great piece, indeed.

I stumbled upon this little gem when I was browsing your userpage and my goodness, I really wish I was around more often so I would of caught it when it was submitted all those weeks ago. This..is absolutely gorgeous. The scan itself I find it be very haunting..maybe it's her eyes or facial expression..but I love it. As for the background itself, I'm very inlove with the green theme that it already had in the scan and I'm glad that you kept with it as well. It looks just GORGEOUS =3. Overall..I just absolutely love this background. I know for a fact that I've found my new desktop =D. Favorite for me too \o Great work, Devi.

That is an absolutely gorgeous picture. Green eyes with dark hair are just dazzling, don't you think? The editing looks very nice; I like both versions very much. Thank you for providing these.
