Hay guys! New wallpaper from Devilet in ages ... I've been into a slump with walling for a few months since I haven't been doing much graphics. Anyway, I found this scan on another site, her name is Death as far as I could read from the description, not entirely sure if this is the correct placement for it, but I'll go with how that gallery sorted it.
Okay, first off, this is my first indoor scene, all is done by scratch in
Photoshop CS, except for the books, which are stock and I motified them. I must
say my favourite part is the floor and the lighting I did with the window. I
just adore doing lighting effects ... I know some things aren't perfect, but I
worked really hard on this one to make my idea come through. The bookshelf, yes
I made it from scratch too, I'm quite proud of how it came out. 
There are several layers, no point in telling the amount since I tend to make more layers than necessary. Well, I hope you guys like it, looking forward to any comments and critics.

Update
I fixed the extraction fault, lol, it was off by two pixels or one people I had
to put my monitor at a much brighter setting, note to you guys: make sure black
is black on your screens, don't hurt your eyes, you know XP Anyway, this is what
I get for picking a scan with a white background and putting onto a dark one ...
Hope it looks better now. I'm leaving the shadow, cos I'm not a technical
person, neither is most anime art, it looks fine to me.

Wow, the bg looks stunning. Really cool ^^ I think the scenery looks really good and creates a nice (dark) atmosphere.
Just the extraction of this scan could need a bit more work...

The setting is really neat. Though I probably couldn't picture myself placing the scan in this kind of setting because it doesn't seem so deathly, this wallpaper came out quite nice. The only problem like others have mentioned is the white edges. ^_^

now to the wall, i like the dark aura emerged from it, and the girl named death really fit in it. some minor flaws, like the size of her shadows have to be longer than that, regarding the light and the window's shadow position, but overall....its a very nice wall

I love the scan, the light.
I like it, it's a good combination of scan and background. The floor is nice, I think I might've chosen a different texture for the wall, maybe wood too, but that's it.

I think the scan and background look really great together, and it portrays the mood really well, and I love the red scheme too
awesome background, specially you built that from scratch ^^
If I have to be really picky, I have two suggestions to make
first is that the bottom part of her dress looks transparent because it's in front of the light from the window .. unless it's supposed to be transparent
and secondly, her shadow should either be really long opposite the windows, or to the right because of the light from the candle
but still, it's a great wallie ^^

i really luv that stone wall and candles because for some reason those details give me the impression that she's in a castle.
